Things to avoid

Prague is probably the only place where it can be dangerous for men to walk alone not protected by a woman at their side (sometimes things change...). In Prague prostitution, and promotion of prostitution, are both legal if the prostitute is over 18. There are a number of prostitutes in Wenceslas square, in the Old Town, and elsewhere, who promote themselves with a lot of determination. Guys who are alone or with other guys (no women) will likely be harassed, and the hookers can be very persistent. Some people we know had to run away.

Be very careful on the trams - there are a lot of pickpockets!  even Czech people get ripped off, so be very mindful, watch your bag and don’t put valuables in your back pockets which can easily be cut with a knife without you noticing.
